Saturday, The sun is shining!

I am going out to play today as the sun is shining.  It is supposed to be the nicest day in the next week which promises to be gloomy and rainy and cold.  So overalls, and muck boots here I come.  So excited.

Yesterday I got a really good start on a huge pile of clothes from a little person.  I only have 6 more pairs of pants to shorten then that pile will be done.  I am eating my elephant.

Also I will start my seedlings.  Just getting things ready for the garden, maybe a few sunflowers. I did get my Easter grass planted yesterday.

I am such a scrounge. Lil sis was getting rid of old cushions from her back porch and I took them and washed them and reused them.  I asked her if she had an Easter place mats, as Hubs shakes so bad sometimes when he eats and I don't want my hand made lace table clothe stained and she had some albeit tacky ones ,they work.  I also got a new planter for my Easter grass in her stash of pots.  I am just thrilled not to buy anything.  Right now I can't, but even if I could I would take free.

I will have to go into the pharmacy today for refills on meds, but I will wear gloves and take sanitizer with me.

Do you have any exciting plans for this Saturday?

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim

  1. Enjoying the warm fresh air here. Not a lot of sunshine - but it is in the 70's and nice breeze coming through the house. It is ever so muddy out - but feels so good.

  2. It is rainy and stormy here, but warm. Which means severe storms... supposed to be really windy tomorrow. Hoping the power doesn't go out. Decided to tackle my bedroom closet which had become a catch-all. Got it cleaned out, big box of stuff to donate (whenever Goodwill reopens) and it looks good. Now to start on dinner-- Italian sausage..YUM! Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!

  3. The sun is brilliant and it is in mid-80s here. I just picked lettuce for a small salad yesterday. I will not buy more lettuce as long as I have this. YAY! for fresh lettuce. I take free things, too. Since all my yard things were stolen, I have found a few cheap, used, and dirty pots that need to be washed. All my Easter placemats are gone. I am glad you found some to use for your husband. Does the shaking not affect his playing of piano or other instruments?

  5. Rainy today, but i went on a walk (because, time by myself is priceless right now). Did some virtual connecting with friends, read a book (finally figured out ebooks via my library) & listed a bunch on ebay. Trying a new recipe tonight, while drinking wine.

  6. I worked Saturday, then did some kitchen organizing. I tried napping but really was just YouTube watching. It rained most of the day.
