Okay small setback here. All the kids have called about Joel's birthday. He would have been 75 today! We all miss him dreadfully.
I have gotten all things Christmas done except loading the car!
All the Nativity costumes are ready. I still have to run to sissies to borrow a rack for the costumes, and I will do that later today. I need to take her change jar into the bank to cash it is for her.
Going up to Sign's for dinner just to have a little fun.
I have one more thing to sew that I keep putting off. But I will get there. I actually made a list to force myself to do something today as I wanted to wallow on the sofa. It seems to be working. As I have brushed my teeth.
I will try and blog again before I leave. I hope this finds all of you wrapping up your Christmas plans and not just starting.
God is good.

ReplyDeleteHugs. Those days are hard.
ReplyDeleteHus to you.
ReplyDeleteAnd, as for people starting Christmas, let me introduce you to my ADHD teen, Sam, who literally was just out buying flowers & gifts for his GF, and they are meeting in an hour or so to exchange gifts. ;-) He did order a few special items over Thanksgiving, but he's an ultimate last minute person. - Hawaii Planner
must be related to my hubby... I get gifts he buys the day of the holiday. Speedway gas station lady would pick it out and wait for him to show up SIGH
DeleteHugs... Hubby's mom just passed. Their 70th wedding anniversary is the 23
(((((Hugs))))) to you, Kim, on what would have been Joel’s 75th birthday. 💕
ReplyDeleteI have everything wrapped and under different trees so there will be no mix up of who gets what. For example. Son2 and DIL2's gifts are beneath the den tree, Son3 and DIL3 are under the living room tree and My Beloved Sister occupies real estate under the foyer tree. TheHub has a basket filled with his gifts in the den but not underneath that tree.
ReplyDeleteI still need to find a couple of small things for TheHub but I know what I want and it is one stop shopping.
Happy Heavenly Birthday to Joel. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteJust need to finish wrapping a few things as far as Christmas “prep.” I also haven’t baked a single cookie. Actually, what I need is a QUIET, peaceful moment to sit quietly by my tree with some beautiful Christmas music and collect my thoughts. This run up has been a whirlwind, it seems, with non-Christmas related things. Although, maybe it was a good thing, as sitting by the tree, sipping wine, reaching out to touch the others hand and every now and then but mostly listening to the kids and happily each other with their own quiet thoughts was our thing. I miss so many things, but lately, I have been missing the peace our union brought.
