Now that I write that though it seems more like a punishment than a plan. I have had to accept that when I clean house (or do anything else complex) I tend to dart from one unfinished thing to another. I never do things in a straight line. It bugs me to no end but that's just the way I was made.Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02803104035204416080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-32582641066597707522017-05-11T11:28:32.240-07:002017-05-11T11:28:32.240-07:00An idea worth seeking? An idea worth seeking?Out My windowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456481267171643227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-25431427703976869882017-05-11T11:27:44.677-07:002017-05-11T11:27:44.677-07:00Like eating an elephant, one bite at a time?Like eating an elephant, one bite at a time?Out My windowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456481267171643227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-81900543606164442732017-05-11T11:27:10.104-07:002017-05-11T11:27:10.104-07:00Yeah it is nice to put your crazy out for the worl...Yeah it is nice to put your crazy out for the world to see, Right?Out My windowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456481267171643227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-50855901258294154002017-05-11T11:26:25.915-07:002017-05-11T11:26:25.915-07:00Well maybe, At least I have another wedding dress ...Well maybe, At least I have another wedding dress done.Out My windowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456481267171643227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-46335457807015460752017-05-10T15:21:45.690-07:002017-05-10T15:21:45.690-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09281827949955314931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-86215938488156671902017-05-10T12:44:32.108-07:002017-05-10T12:44:32.108-07:00I have a plan for you! She or he can get hours dealing with your experiences. Don't put it like "helping" you. It is helping the student with first hand experiences. You can explain it to your mother as her helping this person with a class. NOT getting credit for dealing with a difficult case...lol.

Students can have courses called Individualized Studies. There are other names for this. A student may respond to a call from a Prof. Call the school and talk to Geriatrics Prof. Even if the school you contact may be far away, there may be a student near you who would welcome the chance to be closer to home and get first-hand experience. I received three hours credit several times because of what I did outside class.

Of course, you could put it to your mother as someone studying elderly experiences and what an elderly person could do. Then, the student could see what she could do--cook, and how much help she actually now needs from laying out the supplies to cleaning up. That might free up time, and your mind several times a week for a short time.

It may be called an internship, also. Good luck.
Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6809809639444040308.post-18909154436404662412017-05-10T12:02:24.240-07:002017-05-10T12:02:24.240-07:00I agree - Singing to the choir. What is piled high to the ceiling - laundry and books. I need a house. My dear, if anyone can do it - you can!
