Thursday, Physical Therapy

I have my first appointment today  with a physical therapist at 10:45.  I hope they can work a miracle with this back of mine, that seems to be spiraling out of control.  Spasms all the time.  It is hard to sit or stand, getting up and down is with caution.  I can walk forever, it is just the up and down that gets me.  As I am a busy person this aggravation has to stop!

Because I have been trying to eat down our pantries and freezers before we move, I am finding that I am out of many things and cooking is becoming a challenge.  I really need to pay more attention before I start to cook as I cannot just run downstairs and grab something.

We are out of dried beans of almost all varieties.  Also we have no cakes mixes, no canned veggies, no frozen veggies, our pasta is down to a few boxes.  We have no tomato products left except those I froze or canned. Now it is go to the cupboard and see what you have and try and make a meal out of that.  Which is not a bad idea and certainly saves money. There are just so many odd things in the pantry.  I really need to do a pantry challenge.

Yesterday I made a pot of German sausage soup, which consists of, potatoes, onions, a lb of sausage, a can of chicken broth, celery and a white sauce made with butter and milk. It was delicious and well received, just good old basic soup.

We went to the grocery stores last night and did a small stock up on a few items. I have not bought tomato sauce and tomato paste in a long while. It is weird for me not to have a good storage to pull from.  Right now it is either gone or down to one bottle.  I had to buy olive oil, canned chilies, apple cider vinegar. I even bought a box of brownie mix.  Hubs questioned me on that, but sometimes I need fast and easy.

The downstairs freezer has four large bags of frozen tomatoes and I plan on doing a huge pot of spag sauce and then freezing that sometime next week. We also have 4 containers of cool whip in the freezer that need to be used, so I see desserts going out with the meals I make for others.

I sewed quit a bit yesterday and will do so again today.  Did not get through 10 piles but got a good start on the mountain that is in there.  The shop was busy with many people dropping off, so it is not like what I sewed yesterday made a dent, but it is the season.

Today I will go to physical therapy (say a prayer) then home to sew.  I have two of my piles from yesterday just waiting by the machine.  So today's work load if possible is:

1. hem three pairs of jeans
2. hem three pairs of dress pants
3. hem a formal dress
4. hem and take in a dress
5. alter 5 shirts
7. hem a pair of pants
8. letter mens patch, motorcycle vest patches, and hem leather chaps
9. try and get to a pile of 12 hems and see what I can do before tomorrow

I pulled what I thought was sausage out of the freezer yesterday and it turned out to be ground beef, so I fried it up and added taco seasoning, we will be having tacos tonight.

Well wish me luck I need it.  But the tile painting in the bathroom is done.  Yippee!

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.
