I have probably used this before, but this is my feeling right now. I am going with it.
I had a nice weekend. Had sisters and spouses up for dinner last night. Sissie made Tiramisu, it was good, but not my favorite dessert. She does a lovely job with it.
The men scouted the greenhouse location and will be here on Thursday to erect it. I am hoping to have all sewing done so I can take Thursday and Friday off.
I think this is possible unless a huge mess of last-minute work comes in here. And with my luck who knows...
We are at that point in the year where I turn off the air conditioner unless it is too hot in the house for guests. Then it is flipped back on for a few hours. This is a small house so easy to cool and heat.
I will be paying bills before the end of the week, so my first goal this week is to get that done and put to bed. I would like to have at least $400 to put into a Christmas savings, if possible, but without knowing what is instore as far as the monthly spending (last month) I don't know if this will be possible.
I was able to rip the 5 pairs of pants I was going to do last week but did not finish them. That is my first order of business today. Then I have an Octoberfest costume that needs to be revamped. Only one wedding dress this week and it is mostly hand work. I will get started on that tomorrow.
It is so nice to be able to come into the shop and not be overwhelmed with work. But then again, I am much better at getting things done when I am under pressure.
I went out and sprayed the property on Saturday; I swear weeds are my nemesis. But when you live next to farmland and a cow pasture you are going to get lots and lots of weeds. I will be burning most of the larger ones come late fall when it is past fire season. It is still far too dry here to even attempt burning.
So today:
1. let out 5 pairs of men's trousers, fix neckline on a jacket
2. revamp an Octoberfest outfit and make it larger.
Goals for the week:
1. pay bills
2. try and save $400
3. set greenhouse up
4. pull any garden not producing
That is enough. I am going to get to work.
Have you any goals for the week? If so, what are they?
Have a great and productive day
God is good
Kim
I’ll be paying bills later this week too. Your greenhouse will be so nice once it’s erected and you’re using it. So exciting!
ReplyDeleteI am overly excited and have probably filled it ten times over.
DeleteBills here as well. Sounds like a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt was Cheryl, I tried not to overdo. EVEN BOUGHT TREATS FOR CHOIR.
DeleteMy big goals this week:
ReplyDelete-Catch up on my sleep/re-adjust
-Get back into my fitness & healthy(ish) eating routine
-Work on a big project for work
Hawaii Planner
Kay and I were discussing your travel schedule. Yes, we discuss you with love and awe. She had a job where she traveled back and forth state side and she said the jet lag was so brutal. Here is to a good night's sleep. Remember too much of a good thing leads to a Lupus flare.
DeleteLate Friday jury came back with manslaughter conviction and we were happy with that. I have minor oral surgery this week, and heavy court so I will struggle with talking.
ReplyDeleteI just want to get through this week. I am still tired. Cindy in the South
Oh, Cindy I so understand, as I see my daughter and the stress she is under. I wish I was there to help you as in feed you and make you laugh. Because I can do that.
DeletePaid our bills at the end of last week and today I started inputting the budget. I also used some of the points I have collected to purchase gift cards for the Christmas baskets the sons get.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Good for you, I need to be better at using a point system. But right now, it is just staying ahead of anything that comes.
DeleteWell,my retirement funds haven't hit yet so hope I'll be paying bills this week. I can move funds around but I hate to change my system and borrow from one account to later return. If not by Thursday I'll need to do that..
ReplyDeleteIsn't this fun???? NO!!!!!!
