I am tired of sewing. I mean really tired.
I do have a pile of pants that are ready for the machine, but so far I cannot make myself do them. I really need to get another wedding dress done, but...
My kitchen sink is tore up. The granite people will be here tomorrow to drill new holes. Who knows when I will get the new sink put in, as plumbers are hard to come by in this region
Might be doing diches in the tub for a while. Oh goody.
Kim
Buy a stack of paper plates! Don't cook. Problem solved for a moment. I hate plumbing problems. Sorry about this for you. Go get a Diet Coke and a donut.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice.
DeleteHeck - what a bummer. Hope it is fixed soon. Just be the little engine - I think I can..I think I can
ReplyDeleteI did try that yesterday and got 1/2 the kitchen cleaned.
DeleteSometimes resistance is futile. Take a day and do nothing. Let someone else do the cooking.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right!
DeleteGrief itself is exhausting. Take a break and don’t do anything you don’t want to. It’s very liberating ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt is and now I am behind and every room in the house is a mess.
DeleteI ate a bunch of sandwiches this week. I did eat one catfish Poboy from the local takeout. Also, made turnip greens to convince myself I was eating semi healthy, and ice cream although it was blue bell no sugar to,again, convince myself it was healthy….. lol. Cindy in the South
ReplyDeleteI ate 1/3 of a container (large) of ice-cream at about 1 in the morning. It was not the healthy kind. SO I Win. I win!
DeleteI agree, use paper plates for awhile. You did so much over the past few days, I can see why you just don't want to do more.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You are right Jackie. I did!
DeleteI agree with the paper plate and buying salads and sandwiches elsewhere. I haven’t cooked more than twice in four months. Crackers and cheese can be your friend. Hilogene in Az
ReplyDeleteI am a crackers and cheese girl that is for sure.
DeleteI agree re. paper plates, sandwiches, and anything that will make it tolerable! I guess you should just count your blessings re. actually getting anybody plumbers to show up… they seem to be extremely busy at any time .. I’ve decided to become either a plumber or an electrician in my next life!π π°Beat wishes, as always .. Ricki in NY
ReplyDeleteBought 4 bean burritos at Taco time.
DeleteI'm with everyone else - make this as easy as possible on yourself! Paper plates, bagged salads, frozen dinners...whatever you need to do.
ReplyDeleteHow about just not eat....
DeleteIs quitting sewing an option for you at this point? You do seem to be "over it" as they say.
ReplyDeleteYEs and no. I could but Sissie wants to help when she moves here and it will help me pay off the house faster.
DeleteJre. As a widow and empty nester peanut butter toast, egg and toast, sandwich’s (love egg salad) …. Are my “meals” mostly! I take a couple of vitamins too ha! I do like a good yogurt and agree with cheese and crackers too. It’s kind of nice not having to cook except for family things! Twice this week here so scalloped potatoes and ham and barbecues so have those leftovers.
ReplyDeleteI eat alot of yogurt.
DeleteKim, I'm sorry about your sink. That's so inconvenient. If your over the sewing, I would close the shop for a few days or so to give yourself a break. Big sign on the window, closed for a few.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I have to get things out.
DeleteI did dishes and laundry in the bathtub for a year. I had a friend that would fill her clothes washer up , stop it. put the dishes in it and wash them , take them out and run water out of clothes washer then do it again as a rinse. Said she never even thought about the bathtub.
ReplyDeleteNow that is ingenuity.
DeleteStop sewing for a while. Tell them you are closed. See how you feel after a month or so…..
ReplyDeleteI could but I still have to get things out that are in here. They are time sensitive.
DeleteIs anyone else worried about sluggys last post? It sounds grim but I hope I’m just over reacting.
ReplyDeleteI am worried.
DeleteSHe will be okay, because I will go and make her okay if I have to.l
DeleteNever commented but I was relating to other posts. It does seem you hate seeing so maybe shut it down? I also got SO worried by slug post. Anyone know that’s she’s ok??
ReplyDeleteI will check on her again.
DeleteSending love and hugs. I echo some of the above thoughts: please treasure your own needs.
ReplyDeleteYou know I really don't do that enough!
ReplyDeleteHer posted referenced ceasing to exist. That’s the type of thing I wonder if someone can go intervene who knows her personally? It seemed she was threading to act on something. If you know her please contact her personally. ππ»
