Thursday, Burn out, big time

I am tired of sewing. I mean really tired.

I do have a pile of pants that are ready for the machine, but so far I cannot make myself do them. I really need to get another wedding dress done, but...

My kitchen sink is tore up.  The granite people will be here tomorrow to drill new holes.  Who knows when I will get the new sink put in, as plumbers are hard to come by in this region

Might be doing diches in the tub for a while.  Oh goody.

  1. Buy a stack of paper plates! Don't cook. Problem solved for a moment. I hate plumbing problems. Sorry about this for you. Go get a Diet Coke and a donut.

  3. Sometimes resistance is futile. Take a day and do nothing. Let someone else do the cooking.

  4. Grief itself is exhausting. Take a break and don’t do anything you don’t want to. It’s very liberating ;-)

    1. I ate 1/3 of a container (large) of ice-cream at about 1 in the morning. It was not the healthy kind. SO I Win. I win!

  6. I agree, use paper plates for awhile. You did so much over the past few days, I can see why you just don't want to do more.

    God bless.

  7. I agree with the paper plate and buying salads and sandwiches elsewhere. I haven’t cooked more than twice in four months. Crackers and cheese can be your friend. Hilogene in Az

  8. I agree re. paper plates, sandwiches, and anything that will make it tolerable! I guess you should just count your blessings re. actually getting anybody plumbers to show up… they seem to be extremely busy at any time .. I’ve decided to become either a plumber or an electrician in my next life!πŸ˜‚ πŸ’°Beat wishes, as always .. Ricki in NY

  9. I'm with everyone else - make this as easy as possible on yourself! Paper plates, bagged salads, frozen dinners...whatever you need to do.

  10. Is quitting sewing an option for you at this point? You do seem to be "over it" as they say.

  11. Jre. As a widow and empty nester peanut butter toast, egg and toast, sandwich’s (love egg salad) …. Are my “meals” mostly! I take a couple of vitamins too ha! I do like a good yogurt and agree with cheese and crackers too. It’s kind of nice not having to cook except for family things! Twice this week here so scalloped potatoes and ham and barbecues so have those leftovers.

  12. Kim, I'm sorry about your sink. That's so inconvenient. If your over the sewing, I would close the shop for a few days or so to give yourself a break. Big sign on the window, closed for a few.

  13. I did dishes and laundry in the bathtub for a year. I had a friend that would fill her clothes washer up , stop it. put the dishes in it and wash them , take them out and run water out of clothes washer then do it again as a rinse. Said she never even thought about the bathtub.
