A picture of all the Lucies! Braunwyn is in the home stretch and she is getting uncomfortable. We are in the count down now. Went up to celebrate Oliver's 6th birthday. I can't believe it has been 6 years.
We are really struggling with this new lawn I had put in. It seems to be all weeds as in spurge and whatever else wants to grow. There is grass but it is hard to see. I think the lawn guy is at his wits end. But he will stand behind his product thank goodness.
Then on Friday the neighbors' cows broke out, and one yearling got into my yard and di a ton of damage. It is always something. Nothing has walked on this lawn for 5 weeks and then a cow comes in and does the hokey pokey. SO frustrating. He also hit the chicken coop and broke it, so I had chicken ranging free. Always excitement at this place.
I am up to my eyebrows in wedding dresses and just sick to death of them.
Poor Jess was boarding a plane out of Atlanta when she got the call of a mass shotting in Twin Falls. So, she is up in the air with that tragedy. When your kids are in pain you are in pain and there is nothing, you can do but pray.
Sissie is here sewing away, and I am messing around which I do so well. I should have majored in messing around or opened a messing around shop.
Gaylord and I had a nice dinner on Saturday and we talked and talked. He is finally opening up about his wife's death. He never mentions her at all, which I find odd. But is has been almost 14 years. Anyway, he is buying a classic car, which he is excited about, and I think that is really funny. He is very reserved and it seems so out of character for him. I think I may be a good (?) influence.
Anyway, got a dress ripped and ready to go so now you know my days plans. What are you guys going to do?
God is good
Kim
I sure hope you aren't that super sweet neighbor - do not let them off the hook for the damage. They should have to bear the responsibility for fixing stuff.
ReplyDeleteCute picture.
Now sew, sew, sew! SMILE
Well to tell you the truth I have been, but she is gone and replaced with the wicked witch of the west. I am firm in my resolve!
DeleteBest photo ever, thank you! Hilogene in Az.
ReplyDeleteThank you it was a fun, fun day!
DeleteLove the Lucys!
ReplyDeleteI had every intention of having an extremely productive day. And we all know where the road paved with good intentions leads. I don't want a seat by the fire so I need to get my rear in gear.
I am afraid today may be one of those days.
DeleteMy neice is due the first part of September. When I dropped off her three year old this afternoon I could tell she is spent. Doesnt't help that it's hot and it was the first day of students for her.
ReplyDeleteThat stinks about the damage from the cow!
I know B just comes home and collapses.
DeleteThe shooting was so sad to hear about - what a terrible thing for the community.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you get the lawn sorted & no more stray animals wander it to tear it up. ;-)
Super cute picture.
I have lots of work today, which is never fun. - Hawaii Planner
