Monday, Let's get her done!

This is my whole life right now, overreacting.  It is such fun one should always try it first.

Spent the weekend with grandkids, it was tiring but nice. Made a big breakfast Sunday morning with hotcakes, bacon, and eggs. Nate came and did the lawn and found yet another rattlesnake.  They are so bad this year. I have already been out watering, and I carried a hoe the entire time, which is a pain, but I don't see any other way around it. I'm a girl with her hoe.

Sissie had a fabulous Mother's Day dinner for her sister and brother-in-law and me. SO good and rich, steaks and lobster and lime posset. I ate too much.

Today I am going to get the remainder of the bills paid and get tickets for our upcoming trip before I start to sew.  I tore into a wedding dress last Friday and it awaits my magic. There is much to do in the next 8 working days before I leave. But as I am a procrastinator extraordinaire, I am pushing myself to get other things done.

I have two very hard wedding dresses to do and two easy ones.

So today it is a hard one and then start on the easy ones.  I want at least all 4 started before the weekend. Ball gown dresses are a huge pain; they are hard to work on and take forever. I swear the minute the next one come in I am upping the price. Just looking at them makes me crazy.

Well, I am off to get things done, how about you guys?  Any plans?

God is good

  1. Today I am going to work in my garden. I have another raised bed set up and need to plant. It might be too late actually, but I am going to try. Might just go to the store and buy starts, IDK yet. Other than that, just the typical stuff. Cleaning up, etc.
Have a great day! Hope the dresses go smoothly!

  2. Definitely increase the prices for the things that are time consuming or difficult. If people choose not to pay that, it's a win for you. If they do choose to pay, at least your efforts are worth something valuable. I've got a ton of work to do, and then I'm hoping to go to a workout class. Oh, and work on the class i'm taking at Stanford. I'm over a week behind at this point. :-( - Hawaii Planner

  3. Definitely charge more for prom dresses. There should be a PITA charge added to anything that is a pain it one!

  4. I worked in the perennial bed, and am making that my focus for this year. We will be gone for almost 2 weeks this summer and so I am not going to plant many boxes or pots.

    God bless.
