Tuesday, Making my goals

Well here it is sheet # three completed and before the end of March.  I am so happy.  Today I will be going down to the bank and pay enough to get that Home loan under $4500.00.  Which will complete my goals for the month.  Yeah!

I have started a new sheet and hope to have it completed by the end of April.

There are going to be some financial changes here as the owner of the studio is experiencing some financial difficulties.  Nothing I did not experience when I first opened the doors.  I have tried to help her but again it is a learning experience.  She has been paying me $1000.00 a month for the studio and she had 7 more payments left.  I told her to reduce the payment to $500 for March, April and May.  Then she will pay nothing June, July and August.  She will then start back up in September with either $500-1000.  Eventually I will get paid.  This was a solution that I came up with on my own.  It will change how quickly I can pay back my studio loan.  It will make summer a little slower for debt pay off.  But all is workable.  Some times you just have to go to plan B.  I am happy to be able to do this for her.

I was able to get a bit of sewing down yesterday and hope to hit the machines in a few minutes.  mom is back home and Lil sis bought her  a hearing aid device that she wears around her neck.  She has watched the"Anne with and E" series all morning.  I think we are onto something. I will take her out later today to get a few errands done.

I am making a large pot of spaghetti sauce to  freeze and also have some for supper.  Sis is going to make a bread pudding with left over roles from the party.  Sis also took most of the wrapped Easter chocolate that we had left over from the party to Li sis's church so they could use it in the Easter egg hunt. We still have plenty of cake and goodies.  So much temptation.

Yesterday Hub's swept and mopped the dining room the kitchen and moved all the furniture and swept the front room.He then vacuumed the rugs up stairs and also the basement family room. He did a really good job.  Not his usual half done slop work.  I was so pleased.  Wow.

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim

  1. Great on the debt reduction front. You are very kind to offer a lesser payment from the new studio owner. Probably much kinder than I might be.
I am really happy you had a great weekend and a happy birthday.
Kudos to your Hub for doing a good floor cleaning job.

  5. So, this chart is for a year and you are doing this chart more often? Where can I find one? About the hearing aid, is this the kind that just puts the sound up close, sort of like the tv remove that is given to people in a hospital bed? Or is it actually magnifying the sound into an earpiece?

    1. It hangs around her neck and she has two sets of ear phones. One set is ear buds and the other is head phones. They cost about $50.00. I tried them and they really work. This chart is meant for saving $1000.00 a year but I am trying to do it monthly to meet my yearly goal of paying off the studio credit card and the house loan. I have been able to cut our monthly budget by over $500.00 a month between utilities, car insurance, cell phone, internet, and groceries. I am working hard at putting every penny I earn toward this chart. It really works. You can download this from the blog Large family.

    2. 1. That is clever of you and ambitious to do it each month.
      2. Can the tv be heard by others in the room? I want one to be used instead of the tv for someone who does not want to hear the tv. Plus, exbf and I argue about volume of tv. I want it on highest number-100, and he want it on about 35.
      2. I found the easter grass accidentally on a you tube channel as I was watching something else on youtube. I now understand the "decorating" part.

  6. Yay that your hubby did such a great job! You really are kind to give the new studio owner such a huge break. I'm glad you have found something to keep your mom occupied and happy, at least for now. ;) I am super proud of you for the way you have been attacking your debt...great job!!!

  8. What a generous thing to do for the new studio owner. I hope she can continue to move forward. Spaghetti sauce sounds good; glad mom is enjoying her new 'ears'.

  9. How nice of you!!! And glad your mom is doing something to keep her interest.
My MIL lives with us, I'm sure I've told you. Well, yesterday she fell out of the shower and yelled for me. It was clear downstairs so it sounded like a cat at first. But found her in her birthday suit (It was her birthday yesterday) and I could NOT get her up on her feet! I had to call my husband to come home from work and help me. Since then, I've seen a few videos on how to get back on your feet if you've fallen and can't get up. I'm sure she won't remember any of it, but if I'm here, I'll try them. We can't leave her on her own for a weekend anymore tho. yikes.

    2. Mc Val,
The only way I can get back on my feet is to get on my hands and knees, pull my self up by hands onto chair and then with hands and arms on chair seat, I can get up. I cannot have anyone pull on me at all, otherwise, the person hurts a joint.
