Friday, the 13th!

I had my first daughter on a Friday the 13th.  She was born at 3:13 in the morning and weighed 8.13 oz.  I am 5.2 and was about 105 when I got pregnant, needless to say not a good delivery.
I got up this morning and went down to read blogs before starting my day.  Then I remembered that I needed to put eye drops in so I stopped my comment on Mysti's blog and ran upstairs to do this.  The drops have to be administered 5 minutes apart, so why not start a sink full of hot water for the dishes, okay that is done now I should put those two full chickens on to boil for the chicken salad I need for Sunday, oh yeah I also need to make an orange lemon cake (three layer) for the same party on Sunday, turn on stove and throw batter together, go put eye drop in.   Gee, I had better at least finish the cake and get it into the oven so the batter does not release all of its gas, okay since it take 3 batches I now have enough batter left for 12 cupcakes, where are those darling daisy cupcake wrappers I bought for a quarter? dug those out, filled tins put in oven.  Chickens are boiling away, now there is only 15 minutes left on first cake , I don't want to burn cake so I mix up my favorite sugar cookie dough to make daisy cookies to match cake, put those in the fridge to cool , pull out first cake, finish dishes, pull out other two layers, clean counter tops, put away baking supplies, pull out cupcakes,  Now I have spent 1 hour and 15 minutes on a 5 minute errand.  Do you see why I am crazy?

Came back and commented on Mysti's blog, it is a fun short questionnaire go there!

Out My Window:  It is supposed to cool down today by about 10 degrees,  so 90 sounds wonderful!

It is just one day at a time here financially.   Hubby was with me at the store last night and asked why I wasn't paying in cash.  He just doesn't get it.  The shop has been very slow this month, we just went on vacation, we have plumbers to pay.  I use all my sewing money this week to finish paying the house payment. We have to be able to pay it without the cleaning check, so we have a lot less money. But when you never have to earn the money for anything extra you don't see this.  I have to earn any extra money coming in.  If there is a disaster, ei. surgery, repairs, vacations ME!  I wanted to slap him.....

Have a great and productive day!

  2. Sounds like my 5-minute errands. On the other hand, I also often tell myself that I will read blogs for 5 minutes and then find myself still here in front of the screen an hour or so later...:)
