Wednesday,Kim has a case of the lazies

With the littles here yesterday, not as much got done in the yard as we wanted.  I did get the patio cleaned off and the deck put back together.  I also started the pond so it can be circulating well and I cleaned off the bottom of the pump. Hubs did a little cleaning of the yard, but by that time I was making dinner.  I think after this post if it is not raining I should just get out there and get it done that way I can sew n peace.

My problem is that I am having an attack of the lazies. The kitchen is a wreck and I mean an embarrassing wreck, One of the littles  wet through the spare room bed, so that is ripped and washed and needs to be remade. The shop is over stuffed with things that have to be done before the end of the month and I am just not very motivated.

So if I can kick my butt into gear, I will try and get these things done.

1. remake spare room bed.

2. clean up the kitchen

3. put out something (meat) for dinner.

4. work on cleaned up between the house and the chicken coop.  (at least a path)

5. Sew, Sew, Sew,  I mean it get some stuff out and done.  What a mess. Bridesmaid dresses everywhere.

This is not a very long list and I think I can get myself to tackle and accomplish much of it.

Do you ever have days where you just sit and stare off into space?

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

  1. I seem to take part of everyday and stare off into space....work a while, sit a while, work a while , sit away, etc. Works for me. I have really slowed down on being a work horse. After years of spinning my wheels, I had to stop and smell the roses, the peonies, etc. Stare out into space and go ahhhhhh.

    1. Well I am trying to slow down and I used to be so much busier when I was teaching and directing. I look back and say? How did I do all that?

  2. Staring off into space is not a bad thing to do.

  3. Sometimes when you feel like this it is your body and minds way of saying that you really need a break and to take one before you burn out. (((((((HUGS)))))

  4. If I stopped to stare into space today, my eyes would close and I would be in a full blown nap. Now that I think of it a full blown nap might be just what I need.

    1. Naps are the best. I can nap any where any time.

  5. My whole WEEK so far has been pretty non-productive. I'm blaming the cottonwood floating through the air-not even allergy medicine has been helpful with my runny nose.

  7. I don't do much work around here, but when I do, a 10-minute break can rejuvenate me. Probably because I take one every hour, and stretch it to 15 minutes.

  8. Hi Kim, thanks for visiting my blog & your lovely comments. I have enjoyed reading everyones comments here today too. I definately DO have days where I just stare off into space - even sitting at my sewing machine I can find myself dreaming & staring at the wall!! I think its easy to get overwhelmed when we have too much to deal with & lots on our plate. I think a short walk can often help - some fresh air. When I have the littlies I get nothing done either. Hope you find the answer Kim.

    1. It is an extremely catching disorder. You know when you have planned the day and your husband comes in with a book and flops across the couch and then you get a book and pretty soon nothing gets done.
