Friday, Hubs is gone for the week!

I know I should not be excited, but I am.  HE is off and I am alone.  I can control the TV, I don't have to cook! I can eat cheerios three times a day is I want.  I have no cheerios but I could buy some.

I do have to feed the missionaries tonight, but I will order take out for them, this girl is not cookin'.

I have another wedding dress in the shop as of this morning.  I actually got sewing done yesterday, pretty proud of myself, I'll tell you.

NO plans for the weekend, but to bask in quiet, although I will take long walks, and go visit Lil sis.

Still have to paint that closet and plant some more corn and weed the garden, trim the ivy wall, clean some cupboards.  All without a thousand questions and accusations.  Yippee!

I know this does not sound like fun to many of you, but to me it is bliss.

Any of you have great plans for this Covid 19 Holiday weekend?

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim

  2. I am used to having my days free, but with Hubby working from home there's always some kind of background noise going on. Right now I would kill for a whole week to myself.

  5. Great plans? Of course! Stay home. Enjoy some much needed sunshine as it's been raining most of the last 7 days (unusual for us). Plant my 12 tomato plants that have awaited this mornings' frost-should be the last frost of the season. I'll plant some more marigolds and I really want some Snapdragons so I may venture out.

Burgers on the grill Saturday with some fresh Broccoli Salad and kettle chips (rarely buy chips).

Oh, and as many cocktails as the mood strikes ;-)

  6. It's always nice to have a weekend off from cooking! Enjoy! Our big outing will be taking flowers to graves, and doing the grocery shopping.

    1. I wish I could go do graves, mom's daughters, but alas to far away. I will call a girlfriend to go out and clean them up.

  7. No plans here...but oh, how I know how you feel about having time on your own. It is not that you don't love him...it is just that women are different to men. My hubby had a stroke almost 4 yrs ago, and I never have not had a day away from him since then. He can get around on his own, does his own personal stuff, but he would never remember to take his medicine, or give his insulin shot. And would sit here and starve rather than fix himself something to eat. Oh, he would eat junk food...

He would not be able to call 911...can barely answer the phone every now and then. That would be hit or miss about him being able to answer.

Before his stroke, he would get in moods to cook, and could really cook up some good food. And he could do anything, make anything he made up his mind. Could fix about anything here in the house.

And it used to be so much fun when he took days off to go hunting, etc or fishing...or to go help his buddies.

    1. I am sorry, I fear my future is what yours holds now, as hubs memory issues worsen. You do need a vacation my friend.

  8. Lucky you! I wouldn't mind having some time to myself. Just being able to do whatever you want or do nothing at all, is pure bliss. Enjoy!

  9. I absolutely LoVe it when my Hubs goes away - he doesn't do this very often but when he does - I am just like you Kim ... no cooking, doing what I want, when I want - no one to answer to. You enjoy this time my friend & don't feel guilty.

  12. Hubby worked 3rd for over 30 yrs... I am used to him always being home. He is retired but started a hauling business for the Amish... so now my days are without him. He worked 2 yr on the Honda project Lincoln Alabama. I hated him gone even though he came home every 6 wks for the weekend. I don't watch tv except for the weather so it doesn't bother me he controls it. He's the quiet sort, he will cook if I ask or go gets something of what I want to eat. I am truly blessed and know it though he drives me nuts when his answer is I didn't think of it, I thought I told you or I forgot. His doctor noticed it (he does HAM radio with Hubby ) and is watching to see if Hubby should get tested of if it's other issues. Both his grandfathers had Alzheimer's

  13. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
