That dang Acromion Process when it flaires it causes severe pain that wakes you from a deep sleep and I have found no pain killer that even touches it. I mean hydro condone? does not touch it and I seldom take real pain drugs. Mostly cause they make me pukey. And pukey on top of pain not my favorite thing.
The last time I had problems with this I actually had to sleep sitting up at a table with my head on a pillow. I have been up the last two nights, woke out of a deep sleep with this in one or both shoulders. Took ALEVE but it takes at least a couple hours to fall back to sleep. I just have too much to do to be sleep deprived.
I was trying to tell hubs about this and I broke down sobbing, even writing this brings tears to my eyes. I know I will be okay, but I just hate the extreme pain at night. I dread going to sleep and I don't know how long this will last. Hopefully just a few days and please Lord not months. I swear I have had 7 phone calls for the shop trying to do this post.
The bishop called and I need to get meals taken into a couple, where the wife fell and had to have back surgery. I am just making a roast today so that will be easy. Just one more things to have to get done. I did not get as much done yesterday as I wanted to, so frustrating. But will try and rectify that today. I have a roast thawing in the micro wave so I can put it in the oven later.
I took one of my old dance students who went on to dance professionally (riverdance) out to look for clothes to take on a mission for our church and we fond NOTHING. I realize shopping is dismal here but to find not one dress, skirt or pair of pants? We will go to Spokane on Saturday to see what we can find. So frustrating.
Well I had better get to work. I have decided that I am not going to worry about the house loan any more, it will get paid when it gets paid. Cheryl told me I didn't have to worry about it. SO I am not. I feel so much better.
Have a great and productive day staying positive while I am in the negative.
Kim
LOL - well, I didn't know anybody listened to me! It will all work its way out when it is supposed to.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope your pain leaves and you get relief. I hate that for you. Take care of yourself. Gentle hugs and prayers for healing!
I had a much better night last night, but i took ALEVE before I went to bed. I think that might be the answer.
DeleteIm sorry you're in so much pain at night but my husband can surely sympathize with you.. 12 backsurgeries.. He spent YEARS sleep deprived and sometimes still does.. I also pray to get sleep as well but for different reasons. My hot flashes are so intense they are killing me.. I haven't sleep a full night sleep in months I am so sleep deprived. Didn't sleep last night and was unable to nap today cause all I do is sweat... I physically feel awful. No sleep makes everything feel worse. I truly hope this ends for you soon.. You're a busy woman with a lot going on the last thing you need is no sleep XO
ReplyDeleteI also can suffer from terrible night sweats so i feel your drip so to speak. That will get better soon I hope.
DeleteI hope your pain is relieved soon Kim - there is nothing worse. I am just playing Catch Up on your posts as I had to go to my Mums as she had another fall. You sure have been busy as usual. Take care Kim. xx
ReplyDeleteSorry about your mom. You are in a hard place with her as this will only get worse. Take care of yourself.
DeleteI'm so sorry for your pain-and then to not be able to take anything because of nausea, double hit. I'm glad you are taking Cheryl's words to heart-it will get paid off when it gets paid off.
ReplyDeleteI truly am. No use letting it get to me. I am fine why spend time thinking about that and stewing.
DeleteThings will work out as far as the house loan. When you can pay more do so, if not, don't worry about it. God has everything in his hands.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy, do not overwork, and try and rest whenever you can.
God bless.
I have a hard time having faith when it comes to financial. We have always had it so tough that I can't relax when it comes to money.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry. Do hope your flare up doesn't last too long. It must be bad if it makes you cry. :(
DeleteMy mil says the hempvana cream helps her. I like the icy hot stuff myself.
Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy
DeleteJust a loving (really) thought. As hard as it can be there comes a time to acknowledge that overdoing things have repercussions that make it actually more costly!! Like the garden, dirt cleaning. Is there a time you can call the Bishop and state you’re in need of meals for a bit due to health reasons? Sometimes it’s harder to ask for things and receive help.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think the garden work spurs this condition. It just happens when it happens. I would have to be half dead to ask for meals brought in, most people can't or won't cook. When I was pregnant with my last and very ill almost everything brought in was inedible. We are not ungrateful people. But bis cuts out of a can and a can on condensed soup does not a meal make. Well unless you just came from a concentration camp.
DeleteI was going to suggest you are in need of meals, like JRE did. People will ride a good horse to death. You are that horse.
ReplyDeleteMy problem with my shoulder this last week was just three days and felt better each day. So, I can sympathize with the pain, but yours is much worse! Sleeping sitting up cannot be fun at all.
DeleteI am so very sorry about this pain. This is the first time I have heard the term Acromion Process. I had to look it up. It may be worth a try to take apple cider vinegar for the pain. ACV is full of minerals that help with inflammation. People who are stricken with joint pain often have mineral deficiencies. I hope it helps.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
d
Thanks D will try that.
DeletePlease take care of yourself, first and foremost.
ReplyDeleteOh I will, I know you don't beleive me:) But I will. I love Kim
DeleteHope the pain eases soon. It's horrible not being able to sleep well. Go easy on yourself for awhile.
ReplyDeleteLast night was so much better I was proactive!
DeleteCheryl Kimbley add me to the list of listening to you. I've stressed about getting the debt paid off since the basement ramp went bad... it will get paid when it's paid. Making regular payments is FINE.
ReplyDeleteKim have you tried Aspercreme with lidocaine? My pain doctor talked me into trying it as pain meds trigger the Crohns. They have it unscented. I like the orange scented for day time and lavender for night.
I will try it, thanks. You and i are so much alike it is scary.
DeleteSlow the f**k down and go have a donut! Love, me.
ReplyDeleteI miss you and I can't wait to see you, we are going to have so much fun.
DeleteWhat Sluggy said! Tebble S.
ReplyDeleteShe is so bossy. But I loves her so much.
