Saturday, To the Temple

Running up to Spokane to attend a session at the Temple with one of my old dance students who is leaving on a mission for our church.  I was going to drive myself the 2.5 hours and then home, but there are so many deer on the road that I am afraid of hitting one. So I am opting to go up with her family but they are leaving 2.5 hours earlier than I to do some shopping.

So many things I could get done in that 2.5 hours, but then again the thought of wiping my car out with a deer, which I have done before is a deterrent. So I am off early today and will not get the things done that I planned.  Oh well.

Did get to the piles of sewing yesterday and was pretty happy about it but then 11 more pairs of pants came into hem so that scorched catching up. I am blessed with work.

Have a great Saturday, what you guys doing?  Some are going to estate sales and some are having lunch with friends.  Wish I could join you!

  1. My children and I have hit no less than five deer in central and south Alabama in the past 15 years, most in central Alabama, but I see several deer a week in South Alabama.

    1. They are so preventable here and cause so much damage. It is frustrating.

  2. We’re in SE Mich. visiting our two sons and three of our four grandchildren. We ate dinner together for the first time in 17 months. Money was not on our radar as we bought pizzas and salad for eight. We may repeat the experience tomorrow and head home monday. We’ll be back in a month to watch the grands for a night. Can’t wait!
Lots of deer here, too, but we’re in a rental. I still don’t want to hit one, though.

    1. So happy you got to have fun with family. It has been a long 17 months. And who wants to worry about money when you get to finally see each other. Good for you.

  3. Hi! I have read all of your latest posts and replied like I usually do, but have been having some glitch with my phone. Some comments have posted and some have gone into the great beyond. Instead of going back to each blog and reposting my original comments (Like I could even remember what I said), I am taking the lazy way out and copying and pasting this to everyone.Be assured my responses have been their normal type. Choose one
    (a). sincere (b). pithy (c). vapid (d). sarcastic (e) encouraging (f) boring as usual.
From now on I will comment only using the laptop. It is kinder to me!

  5. I hate driving at night because of the deer. My husband has hit one since we've been here. I have had a few close calls.

  6. Yes here in NW Minnesota deer are a constant threat and I think we’ve had at least 5 hits in my immediate family. My regular car was a Nissan Pathfinder that was not in good shape and needed oil top offs very frequently but I get attached to cars and nervous about buying so I will say when my son hit a deer and totaled that car out about about 4 years ago finally forcing me to get a new car it was for the best! If it helps at least here I don’t think they count on insurance points. (Not 100% sure though)
