Friday, What's up?

Well it was a week of really no work.  Which was very nice and as Linda reminded me it will get bombed again so enjoy it. Hubs and I have picked up a few things at discount stores that we needed.  Mayonnaise, cooking spray, lots of cheese as I use those all the time.

I am going to run over to my elderly friends and get her apples and make her applesauce for her today.

Eggplant parm is on the menu for the week.  We will have Kelsa Saturday night and most of the day Sunday.  Daughter has been working full time for a dentist this last week and next week and also teaching dance, she needs a good lie in.

Also Schmills private school has a fund raiser that daughter has to work on Sunday.  It is their annual sausage feed and of course we bought tickets, so no cooking on Sunday for me which is nice.

Hubs is still helping at the small ranchette in the mornings and he was home  a half hour early today as he is getting to know the chore list and can do a lot on his own.  Yesterday he also went back in the afternoon to help unload a trailer of animal feed.

Hubs and I went a looked at carpet and flooring yesterday, as our phone just started working we are expecting someone to come and measure and give us a bid.

Well I am off to get something done.

Missing my sister's and my other sister Slugs badly this week.

Do you ever intensely miss family sometimes?  I know I do.

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

  1. I very seldom miss the living ones LOL. Probably because we live so far away that we have always called or texted and now FB about half of them. Kids mentioned Thanksgiving. I told them to rent the hall (no one will drive this far) and pay for it to be catered as it was their turn to start footing that $1000 bill for all that food. I haven't heard anything since.

    1. You know that is such a good idea. When will the time come that I can just bring a pie and show up and then leave after the meal?

  2. You'll get your baby fix and that will help missing your sister and Sluggy. I miss my son a lot-and he just doesn't want to commit yet to flying home for Christmas and it is just too far to drive.

  3. I understand missing the family. We have not seen Pip in person for 2 years and sometimes it hurts so badly it is almost physical pain.

  4. Rest from work in the shop - but you do keep busy. I miss the ones gone more than the living.
    Have a good weekend.

    1. I used to take Hub's grandma up to the graveyard almost weekly when I lived in Nampa, Idaho. She said she had more friends there than anywhere else. She died at 98.

  5. You will have more than enough work probably before you are ready for it.

Eggplant Parma was eaten here tonight, Harvey smelt it cooking and asked if we could have it instead of pancakes. Of course I said yes. I still managed to put another two meals into the freezer.

I also miss those family members that are far away or gone. Still Facebook and the phone help a bit to keep in touch with those that are still here.

    God bless.

    1. I didn't get mine done but will do it today along with chicken parm. We actually did not cook this weekend. It was a lazy one for sure.

  6. Yes, I do miss family, some more than others. It will be fun with Kelsa, anyway.
