Saturday, It is raining so......

I woke up after sleeping in some :) to a rainy over cast day.  Drat!  Yesterday was in the 80's and I was able to spend a few hours outside between clients and sewing.  It was so nice and I got so dirty.  You forget how dirty cleaning and planting is.  I was able to clean two large beds in the front yard and lay bark.  I still have two more larger beds to do, but I will have to wait until next week when the weather co operates.

Our sprinkler system was also turned on yesterday so we can go ahead and plant the garden, but again we will have to wait unless we want to plant in the mud.  The sad thing about this is that even though I am sitting here in my bib overalls all ready to roll in the dirt, I will have to clean house instead.  Not nearly as much fun. In fact blah!

Hubs and I need to go to Wal-mart and also Albertsons.  We need to do a grocery shop and I want to pick up a few more plants even if we can't plant them.  So if I go shopping I won't have to clean right?  Hmmmm.........

I will have to make a list or I fear I won't do anything, but pout about the weather.  I am a really good pouter.

Okay things that need to be done:

1. strip beds upstairs
2. put clean linens on beds
3. clean out freezer and fridge upstairs
4. start a huge batch of chicken soup
5. make a grocery list
6. keep laundry going
7. deep clean family room
8. vacuum stairs
10. deep clean mom's room
11. deep clean mom's bath
12. deep clean shop closet (sissie where are you)
13. clean laundry room.
14. deep clean shop (scary)
15. get groceries and things needed from stores.

On you mark get set go!

Have a a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim

  1. The stuff of life just has to happen, rain or shine. It is sunny here, but coolish, so I've been popping on-line inbetween hosue taks and laundry. I'm getting sheets washed and using the sun and breeze so we will sleep so well tonight. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 70 so I plan to scrub outdoor furniture and replant some pots and spruse up y porch. I still havne't found chairs or a bench I like. I might just move two form the deck to the porch temporarily so we have somewhere to sit in the front, but the now ugly broken bench has to go.

    1. I would like to put a porch swing out front and Also a garden bench. My old one collapsed. But hub's has the canoe where the garden bench used to be. Do I have to decorate the front of the house with a canoe? It is a Grumman the best of the elite canoes but I really don't see that as an added benefit.:)Ace hardware had some nice outdoor stuff. Don't forget TJ MAXX.

  2. After near drowning rain we have perfectly beautiful weather, so I will be able to scrub the lake place deck with a scrub brush instead of riding around on the lake.
Have a nice rainy day and let s couple of those things on the list go by the wayside. Since the shop is a money maker concentrate on it!

  4. I like "keep laundry going." I remember days, it seems, of that continual motion.

  5. I went out the laundry room door yesterday afternoon to water my horses, and while the trough was filling I ended up cleaning off the back porch, moving the grill to the fenced in area, moving wood over by the storage shed for later, and basically wearing myself out. But it's done, and I can use the porch now! Plus getting cleaned up after felt so good. So, whatcha gonna do now that you paid off the debt? What's your new goal?

  6. You make me feel like a real slug for my Saturday! After a beautiful, productive Friday in the yard we woke up to a cold, windy Saturday. I'm over our crazy weather! I think Chuck was as disappointed as I was. We spent most of the day watching a Duck Dynasty marathon. I did cook three meal so I guess I can count that as doing something... righ?

    1. Hey a day in the yard deserves a day in the house especially if you get to binge TV.

  7. I'd much rather work outside than in but it still needs to warm up a bit more here. This must be busy wedding dress/bridesmaid dress time of year for you - at least it's profitable!

    1. It is very busy, I also would rather work outside. The money has been nice though and I am making good progress.

    1. It seems like forever, but now things seem to be moving so fast. I guess that is why they call it a snowball.
