Monday, Catching up! Chart 1 done!

Sissie and I are back from Missoula and ready to get to work.  Well, she is ready to get to work.  Not so much me. I am blogging which is also important. At least to me it is important and that is all that matters. Right?

It was cold in Missoula like 7 degrees in the morning. You rarely need a winter coat here as it is usually in the high 40's or even 50's. So Sissie and I did not go with winter coats.  But we both bought one on a good sale when we got there. That is good as I have not owned a casual winter coat in years.

I have 6 wedding dresses in the shop, and I am going to call a bride for a fitting and get her in and hopefully have that out by the end of the week.

Sissie is doing a good job chipping away at everything else.  Although there are a few really hard things that I must do.

It is really cold here today but promises to warm up soon.  The chickens were out of water in their heated dish, and the unheated dish was frozen solid, so I will be adding carrying a bucket of water down to the coop while we maintain this cold snap.

After I get my sewing done today, I want to start deep cleaning a few cupboards.... They really need it, and the pantry needs a go through. Just some extra TLC for good measure.

I have completed my first savings chart for the year, so that is always good news. Onto #2

My joy for today is that it is the 26 of January and I have hardly seen any downtime to be depressed or sad. Well things in the world have made me sad and they always will, but I have stayed up in my mind and that is where I want to be.

Any plans for the week other than to stay warm?

God is good

Kim

  1. I'm glad you've been able to look for the joys. That is so important. My joy was some friends of ours and one neighbor came to do our driveway yesterday and did a fabulous job. They refused to take any money, but we'll get even with them somehow. I do think we need to pay better attention though, because they were almost finished before we even knew they were out there.

  2. Glad your trip was safe. Cold here and lots of snow.
Joys today - sun is shining and it isn't snowing! (still cold).
    Have a lovely week.

  3. We got a couple of feet of snow yesterday so we're still cleaning up a bit today (driveway/sidewalks/deck). I also unburied our neighborhood fire hydrant (our oldest is a firefighter so I know how important that is).

Yesterday I baked my first ever loaf of croissant bread (recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction). It tasted great but I wanted to try it again because I messed up the last turn. I also need to finish knitting my great niece's baby blanket because she was a couple of weeks early and now I'm late!
