Monday, Good Grief

Thank you for all the comments on my beloved Slugs passing. Aunty is in the final stages, and I don't expect her to last until the end of the week.

Last fall I went into a terrible depression, with my mother in laws death and then talking my nephew Travis off the cliff with his reunion of the babies' murders.  Then my sister-in-law passed the day after Thanksgiving and Joel's 75th birthday.  It was just one thing after another. I couldn't recover. I just don't want that to happen again.

I will always have the anniversaries of those happenings so how am I going to survive with new sadness added?

Last January, I told myself the month would be a month of joy and it passed well. So, I am going to call this month, my month of gratitude no matter what happens. It is hard to really go down when you are concentrating on gratitude. Now this might be a little Pollyanna of me, but I have to do something.

We had a fun time on Halloween. Then yesterday I cooked dinner for Gaylord and his son and granddaughter.  Both are lovely people. Dinner was good. I made a Korean salmon recipe and it was so moist.  Often salmon cane be dry.

Today I must get a pile of alterations done, as we might have to leave within days and I want everything done before I go so I don't have to worry.

At least I have things to keep me busy.  For that I am grateful.

Winco had boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale for $1.48 a lb.  I stocked up on those. They were next to the 70-30 ground beef that was over 5$ a lb. ????

So, who want to be grateful with me this month? Please tell me below something you are grateful for today.

I am grateful my Sissie is here with me.

God is good

Kim
