Monday, New week, much to do!

Yesterday was a busy day with Kelsa. My nose was drippy and when I cough Kelsa does not like it. The kids were over for a good bit and it was fun to have them.  Hubs went out and looked at 4 wheelers with son in law.  Nothing was found that they were two excited about.Kids went home for a good nights sleep and we got to keep the princess, who like the one with the pea did not sleep well.

Mom and Dad returned about noon and they were well rested.  Grandma and Pa took naps in the afternoon and then went up the hill for dinner.  Grandma was happy, no cooking and no clean up.

Today I think Hubs wants to get some major work done on the chicken coop.  We will be leaving Friday for Nampa so must get things organized here. I have some major goals for sewing.  Now that the cold has dropped to my throat and chest I am not dripping like a faucet.  I was actually very pleased at my reaction to the last shot.  I thought it would really do me in, but other than this cold, I am fine.

Today I need to:

1. go to the bank

2. fill my savings envelopes

3. sew 5 patches on a leather vest

4. back 5 patches with velcro

5.  patch a pair of jeans

6. hem two pairs of slacks

7.fix pockets on another

8. finish priests robe

9.patch a pair of pants and hem a pair

10. hem turquoise dress

11. hem bridesmaid dress and alter ring bearer outfit

12. hem Nines dress

13. fix and steam mauve dress

14. hem pink bridesmaid dress and fix straps.

I hope I can climb through this as I have a whole load for Tuesday and want the shop caught up before I go.  I also have more appointments today for things to come in.  Oh Goody.  I am so happy to have a really busy week.  It has been so long outwith one.  I am blessed with work and very grateful.

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

  3. That is a huge sewing list, I can’t imaging doing all that in one day- you must be a nimble fast seamstress.

  4. My nose dripped like a faucet, sometimes down over my lip before I could catch it. Now, that I am taking an antiviral for shingles, my nose quit running! I am so happy. Since my lower lip feels like it has had a shot of novocaine, I still have the slight drool. I was feeling quite soggy, sort of like a baby. You need a cook when you sew.

    1. Much better, and I did not over do, as I could hardly get through that whole, but a girl can dream.

  7. Glad your business has picked up. Instead of your cup runneth over, your sewing cup runneth over. Hope your cold gets better! Are you able to enjoy your diet coke again?

  8. You're so good to spend so much time with your grandchildren, and I almost envy you the ability to enjoy it. I don't think I will be *that* grandmother, when, and if, the time comes. I can't imagine actively seeking to have littles in the house again. DH doesn't share my sentiments, but I've made it quite clear that in an emergency, I'm the first call, but beyond that, nope, nope, nope.

    1. You know I thought I would feel the same way. But the older I get the more I realize what a blessing those sweet babies are. They keep you young.

  9. A priests robe-is that a new addition to your sewing resume? Building off Meg B-I might be closer to your end in that taking my someday grandkids on occasion for fun, and to give the parents a break (I know I appreciated it when m sisters helped each other out), but you sure get your fill of babies and little ones. I hope quite frankly, I'm too busy with my own adventures to be on call, but as this works for you, I'm glad for you. Naps are certain to be needed if I had your life.

    1. I am redoing Regalia, for the Catholic church. A lot of it is badly worn, especially the linings. These pieces cost hundreds of dollars to replace. It is a challenge and I love a challenge. If you had grand kids you would want to be with them. They grow so fast and that baby stage is so precious.

  10. Oh how fun to have your granddaughter stay with you! I'm glad business has also picked up and I hope it stays that way now. Please be careful and not overdo it so that you will be able to not be in pain on your trip.
