Wednesday, I'm NEGATIVE!

Let's shout it to the world!  I am negative!  I am not talking about my charming personality either.  However I do have a head cold.  As I was exposed to someone who has tested positive on Sunday, I am still required to watch and wait.  But I am so much less worried. I do not have to go back in for a retest unless I become really sick.

I stayed busy yesterday at a much slower pace than usual.  I was able to get most of the decos up.  I do want to go and cut some more holly and get some candy canes. Hubs was funny about me putting a Christmas quilt on the bed.  He asked if he was allowed to sleep in the room?  Such a comic.

My mother made this quilt and the quilt at the foot of the bed, which is a twin size.  I treasure these.  The pillow cases were also hers.  I just took them out of storage and pressed them.

Master bath was easy as it is already an avocado and sage green color. Daughter went from a 3 bath home to a two and so did we.  So we downsized quite a few of mom's things.  But good towels are worth keeping and I can easily store the curtain and the two rugs.

Our tree, daughter gave me the new tree bottom.  Our old skirt had been used for over 25 years and was getting quite shabby as the animals would always sleep under the tree.   Yes it has real candles on it, but I will never light them.  If we were here I would have decorated a small real tree outside and lit them Christmas eve.

It is a tight squeeze with all the instruments.  I am happy the Bass violin is on loan to the local high school.

Hubs will not put out his violin or viola right now as I cannot store them up high enough. Here is the other cello and the dulcimer. More decorations from Sweden.

I displayed all of my step sister Hedvig's around the world santas in the dining room window. Hedvig died of breast cancer about 15 years ago.  She was a talented painter.

Mom's Christmas china in Hubs grandmother's cabinet.  I need to get holly to put some color on the top.

This twelve days of Christmas quilt was made by one of my dance mom's.  She is a master quilter.  It is so detailed and amazing.

Do you notice that I taped the toilet shut.  My clients use this bathroom and I don't want any....uhm.... well until we get the toilet replaced. Again everything was my mom's.

So other than the family room and kitchen which will just have a few outdoor things like holly, I am done.

I am happy I did this as it brought back good memories of mom.  Also Schmills will love it!

So yesterday besides decorating at a snails pace, I did get the bills paid.  Today I have to do a few things in the shop and I am going to cut a bunch of ivy off a tree outside.

This quarantine has so far been kind of fun.  Well not that we have had any free run this last year, but staying completely away from people besides the kids has been nice.

I need to go get some sewing done.

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim

  9. I love the poinsettia shower curtain and the other one and all the Christmas rugs. Tommy has a door on his shower or I would get a shower curtain that was Christmasy.

  14. If you test again on day 7 (post exposure) and are still negative and have no symptoms on day 10 you are likely ok to be out of quarantine instead of waiting the full 14 days. Hang in there!
