Tuesday, still crazy here

You are probably sick of Kelsa pictures, but she is so stinken cute. This is a 6 month outfit and she is 9 months old. My house may never be the same, but I sure have enjoyed having the kids here.  Nate just came down and took the kids out on the boat and Hubs and I are home with Kelsa.

Eldest and her two are leaving later today and this house is going to be so quiet when they are all gone. I have had several calls today for the shop but I am putting everyone off until Thursday as I just want to enjoy my time left with the kids and a day to recover.  I also think I have Kelsa tomorrow for some reason and I can't remember why.

We had a nice dinner with all the kids at a restaurant in Moscow last night and it was so nice to leave the cleanup to someone else.  We left a large tip as the cleanup was a little extensive with two babies and 3 other boys.  There was no Roscoe to clean up the floor.

I need to shorten a pair of pants for my daughter and I want to get the cushions finished for outside and some flowers planted in pots I have picked up, maybe if I can get Kelsa down for a nap I can get those things done.

It is turning very hot here as in record breaking heat.  Now I don't mind as I love the heat, but I am worried about the fire season.  We just really need rain here. Yesterday as I was leaving town I got a call from Lil sis who was up on the prairie and was worried about her plants, so I turned around and went to water her things before I left.

Gas is up to $3.13 here although you can still find it for $2.90 if you look.  What is gas where you live now?

I filled my savings envelopes this morning and I am trying to get the kids to eat all the leftovers before they leave.  Sent several snacks we had bought earlier in the week out on the boat, hoping to get rid of them.

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

  1. She is a doll! Enjoy this time together! Our gas price is average 2.58 a gallon. But our housing is going crazy. The lack of petroleum products is raising the price of everything. They just broke ground on a 500 home subdivision just a couple of miles from our home. The big machinery is just up the road putting in new water/sewer lines. Noise is coming. ~jackie~

    1. Those are great gas prices and yes it is impossible to buy a house here, I just wonder when it will end?

  3. Here in Phoenix gas is about $3 plus or minus. My car takes premium so I find $3.40 at Sam’s club. Cute photo of grand baby ;) I really enjoy your blog, thank you for taking the time to write, I look every day for an update!

    1. I hope it goes back down in the fall. As everyone is trying to forget lock down and traveling this summer I know we won't see any relief at the pump until fall.

  4. Can't say I blame you for wanting to spend time with that cutie pie! :-) They grow too fast - enjoy them all now, grandma!

Just filled up here today for $2.42/gal. If you have a bank account tied to your preferred customer # (so they get cash rather than a charge), you get much better price per/gal. on gas. So we opened a small account specifically for this purpose - really worthwhile for us. I think it was regularly $2.99/gal, so a good savings!

    1. We have loved having these two babies this last year. Even though Covid has been bad our lives have been so blessed.

  6. My oolder daughter was tiny like that! But, she was so easy to carry! She was about three before her little arms and thighs filled out at all. But, she and Kelsa are so cute tiny. Picture this--my sister's daughter who was premature made my girl look like a giant. My sister is also much shorter than I.

Hey, you are not letting work control you--great!

Gas was $2.69 here today. Some places are around $2.80. And, I live across town from Anne in the Kitchen.

    1. But it is like having a dolly to play with. Eldest who has two boys dressed Kelsa every chance she got, it was like watching her with a doll.

  11. Love the Kelsa pics! Also worried about fire season here as well. It's not a great way to start the summer, with the ground so dry & so little previous rain this year.
