Monday, Kim is down

The last three times I have hosted large gatherings, I have gone down.  I may have to rethink this.

I have 4 loads of laundry waiting to be folded, and I usually fold out of the dryer. SO, this bad habit is getting worse. I have a countertop covered in crystal and good china that has to be put away.  Easter decor needs to be packed up.

The kitchen really needs love.

Grandchildren Easter remnants are in every room.

There are too many cookies, cakes and sweets here.

The shop is busy, and I need to go to bed.

I am going back to bed.

Kim is going back to bed.

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim is not going to be productive, she is going to be sick.

Signed Sick, Kim.

  1. Oh poor Kim! I hope you rest well and recover from the festivities. Hosting parties is not my forte. Neither is cleaning up after. Wishing you a great week.

  6. HUGS = you really try to do too much. As much as it may pain you to admit - you need to slow down a little.
    Hoping you feel better quickly.

    1. I am starting to realize that. I love hosting and all the accoutrements, but my body is saying no!

  7. I’m in the same boat. I’m only 68 and love the company but my legs were killing me last night, just throbbed laying in bed. I’m out of shape. I was so sad Easter was canceled the past two years and we had a great time but physically it’s tough. I want the good China, I do 20 Easter baskets (kids/grandkids) and love all the traditional foods and don’t want to give that up! And yes my adult kids help, bring food but I may need to ask for more, this year I had the tables set several days ahead of time which helped but still getting dishes out, washing ….. back and forth, when I’ve become a slug my body doesn’t handle it well.

    1. I know, I know, the pot calling the kettle. But I just have to really think this entertaining thing over.

  9. Have a rest, and take small bites of the elephant once you are up and feeling less like crawling back into bed.

    God bless.
