Thursday, Wedding dress need to be done

I am having a really hard time getting myself into my sewing shop and getting things done.  I don't know why.  But I have lost the ability to discipline myself into a schedule and getting work done.  What is my problem?  I almost keep thinking, wouldn't it be nice to close the shop and not have to sew anymore?  Then I think am faced with not having enough money to really do anything extra, so I think that is not a good solution.  It is like my get up and go is gone.  Will it ever come back?

Is it the virus?  Is it the house ?  Or maybe I just work better under pressure.

For those of you who are interested the house we put an offer on yesterday, can be seen as 915 9th ave Lewiston Idaho.  You can see why I love it.  But right now I need to concentrate on getting many things done in the shop.  Yesterday our realtor came by about 2 o'clock for us to sign papers.  I found out at noon so I was a sweaty mess trying to clean up the upstairs.  I did finally get our room and both bathrooms done.  She did walk Hubs and I through our house and told us what to downsize., so that was nice.

Hubs also had his eye surgery yesterday morning.  I was not allowed to go in with him.  They called when he was done and he was delivered to my car by a nurse.  What a mess.  He looks terrible.  I feel bad for him but he doesn't seem to be in much pain.  His eyes are weepy and so swollen.  I kept exchanging out bags of frozen peas for him and he had to sleep in the recliner last night.  He looks worse this morning.  He cannot take a shower, so I suggested a bath and I would come and help him wash his hair.  He needs a hair cut so bad.  His hair is very thick and gets curly when it is long.  One thing he does have is a lot of hair.  No balding for this guy.

The surgeon said that one of the muscles on his left eye, that controls the movement of the lid was almost attached, so that eye was a little more extensive. I wonder how long it will take him to finally look normal?

So I am going to force myself into the shop and get one wedding dress done and at least another ready for a fitting before I work on more masks which are all over the place in various stages of not done.

Please wish me luck I am having trouble with mt get up and goer.....

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.

Kim

  2. Hon you got do many goals accomplished - so I can understand wanting down time. You have to make a choice - work and stress and doing stuff or calm and less work and just simply going with the flow.
    You'll figure it all out.

  5. I think it is the virus & the state of the world Kim - it is making alot of folk lose their motivation & their productivity. I have Orders I need to tackle but I keep fluffing around making stuff for myself. Its hard to feel "normal" when the world is like this.

  6. The house is great. Even could be easy to do a ramp out the back door if every needed. Is there a room to be used as a bedroom on the first floor for when the stairs get too much? I love how it is. Will you be able to move your business there or is the code there not allow that?
Praying you get it. Get moving so you can put your house up for sale asap

  7. It's just general lethargy and being out of sorts - I've been the same, need the pressure to actually knuckle down - even though I have all the time in the world at the moment. I did go into the office for 3 hours this morning and I got so much done with just being in the right setting.
Hope your hubby feels better soon.

  8. Do not let that house get away! It's perfect right down to the original kitchen. Three months ago we bought a 1938 Tudor in Minneapolis. I see many similarities in the construction. We have the beautiful original birch cabinets, which have never been painted. In 80 years, we are only the 3rd owners. If you have to drag your husband, kicking and hollering, well, so be it!

  9. The house is lovely Kim! I hope your DH heals fast.

I've been feeling the same way as you. I guess the virus has thrown us off schedule. At least it did for me, so I'm not motivated to work some days - even though things are busy. Hope you get out of your slump soon.

  11. I hope your get up and go comes back to you, Kim. I know what it's like to be unmotivated. It's easy to do so I'm hoping you can leave it behind you.

  12. I asked my friend how long it took for her hubby to look normal after his eye surgery... she said 3 months but she also tagged on he didn't follow the doctor's directions so the healing went slower.

  13. Love that house! It looks small from outside but the inside just goes on and on, LOL. If we ever move I will definitely choose a house without stairs, I know my knees would thank me! I so hope you get this house. Love the lawn, too!

    1. Actually stairs are good for old fogies, it makes you use muscles you need to walk, but I can also understand bad knees.

  15. I have been suffering from (HERPES) disease for the last four years and had constant pain, especially in my mouth. During the first year, I had faith in God that I would be healed someday. This disease started circulate all over my body and i have been taking treatment from my doctor, few weeks ago i came on search on the internet if i could get any information concerning the prevention of this disease, on my search i saw a testimony of someone who has been healed from (HIV and Cancer) by this Man Dr OSO and she also gave the email address of this man and advise we should contact him for any sickness that he would be of help, so i wrote to Dr OSO telling him about my (HERPES Virus) he told me not to worry that i was going to be cured!! hmm i never believed it,, well after all the procedures and remedy given to me by this man few weeks later i started experiencing changes all over me as Dr OSO assured me that i have cured, after some time i went to my doctor to confirmed if i have be finally healed behold it was TRUE, So friends my advice is if you have such sickness or any other at all you can email Dr OSO on drosohaberhome@gmail.com) or call him WhatsApp +2348162084839

  16. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
