It was a super busy weekend. We had our runners here Friday night and they were so much fun. I got up early on Saturday and Hubs went and babysat Oliver. I made a big breakfast for the runners and got them out the door and then started to work on my chili. When hubs got home, I went to get my flu and covid shots.
However, my pharmacist, said no to both at the same time. He told me to get the flu first as I had so far been what he thinks is immune to covid. Even though I have had the shots, I have been exposed over and over again and no covid. The flu is rampant around here. I felt fine until we got home from the church activity, and I was so hot.
I ran fever and chills all night and a bad headache most of Sunday. I still have a slight headache, but much better today.
The grandkids had so much fun at the churches trunck or treat. Kelsa did not want it to end. She stayed out in the dark running around in a (brat) bat costume. She had a flashlight
and thought she was pretty special. We finally got her home and she continued to play with her flashlight.
We ate chili all weekend and as the kids are due down here this evening to bring all the kids down for trick or treat, I am going to order pizzas.
But today I must sew. I have to finish hemming a wedding dress. I did finish the hand work on Saturday afternoon. I had to take it up in the shoulders and put the sleeves back in and reset the bead work.
Then I swear there are at least 20 pair of pants in the shop to hem. I really am not sure, but I know there are 27 curtain panels to hem. Plus, all the dresses. Kim really has to get her butt in gear.
It is just going to be a busy week and I am happy about it.
Also, I forgot to add that the runners brought us about $300 dollars' worth of Telford beef and pork. Telford is company up by Sun Valley Idaho, that has a huge beef ranch. They sell by the whole, 1/2 and 1/4 animals and then process it in their shop. They sell out almost immediately. So, to even get some of the beef is a privilege. They are very rooty toot and spendy. But these kids all were members of the Telford clan and they learned to work hard from an early age. We got roasts, steaks, bacon, stew meat. I could not believe the generosity. Plus, potatoes. This ranch is very diversified. I did not expect payment. But well worth the trouble and the fun.
Okay I am off to get to work, wish me luck, I really have not been up to snuff in the shop since before I left.
Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are in the negative.
Kim
