Monday, New week, New goals!

I'm a little blue today.  Don't know why.  I have no reason. Easter is over, but not the celebration. I am starting a new week, and I need to pay attention and I think that is the problem.  I don't want to pay attention. I have a whole day ahead of me that I can get things done and will I squander it?  Squander, say that out loud, SQUANDER.  It just sounds exactly like it means. What is a girl to do?

Well make a list or two of course! But not right now maybe in a few sentences.

Easter was fun and quiet. Sissie and Dan and Signe' and her family. We had a nice dinner; I was tired as I had not slept well the night before.  Music went well at church. I took a two-hour nap in the afternoon and then got up and made rolls. Sissie made dessert, green beans and deviled eggs. Lil sis contributed scalloped potatoes, so I got off easy with the ham and rolls!

Beans are soaking as we speak for a big old pot of bean soup. Aunty, Sis and I love bean soup.  Dan hates it!  Too many years aboard ship, I think. I am looking forward to a nice big steaming bowl of the stuff.

So, what is Kim going to do this week? I know you are all waiting with bated breath to know. This is where Kim falls asleep.... Well, let's rephrase. What would Kim like to get done this week? Hmmmm...

1. Put away Easter in a few days.  The deco's, not the meaning.

2. wash the windows inside and out (*snort* like this is going to get done) but one can always dream.

3. try and have at least 3 no spend days

4. eat all meals at home if possible

5. spray rockery and yard again, this is a constant battle

6. Get a good chunk of change saved toward my $1000 savings goal to which I have contributed nothing, and I only have 9 days left! Okay to be fair I do have $400 squirreled away for this already but still need $600. at the rate my ambition is going this could be hard.

7. Get Aunty packed and ready to fly home (sad)

8. Try and get shop reorganized for upcoming bridal season!

Okay that is enough, I am already tired.

What am I going to do today?

1. feed and water chickens

2. make big pot of bean soup

3. mend a pair of pants.

4. hem a pair of jeans

5. alter and pile of three pants

6.alter a blue prom dress

7. alter a pink prom dress

8. alter a red prom dress

9. alter and blue bridesmaid dress and mend a blouse

10. alter a flower girl dress

It will be a holy miracle if I get all this done today, as the blahs have me. Blah!

What do you do for the blahs?

Have a great and productive day (see how positive Kim is?)

God is good

Kim

  1. May some of your "to-do" list (both of them) get done to YOUR satisfaction (not anyone else's). Thinking of you, my friend.

  3. I have daily lists where items, if they don’t get done, move to the next day’s list…so tasks move day after day, since I don’t get them done. Then I will get irritated at myself and do them all in one afternoon. That won’t work for you…your paying customers might have a problem with this plan ;). Plus you have gigantic projects like redo the back yard. Yikes! Hilogene in Az.

  4. Chocolate is a great cure for the blahs. Well for a moment anyway, then it lead to weight gain if you over indulge... never mind... I don't have a good answer for the blahs. Hope they quickly pass!

  5. Those are pretty long lists. Do what you can, and move the rest to tomorrow. Chocolate is a wonderful pick me up.

    God bless.

  6. Well, sometimes we do just have to pull up our big girl britches and carry on and a bite of chocolate can sweeten the day :)

  7. What is the saying? If eating a frog is the worst thing you have to do today eat it first. But don't listen to me. I did not get Jack Squat done at the house today.

  8. Can you go for a nice, slow walk with some light music? That usually cheers me up. I need to get it together today, and I'm most certainly not feeling it! - Hawaii Planner
