Anxiety is my friend. It is nice to have friend's that stick with you. That is how I see this issue.
Guess what? Sissie and I cleaned the shop yesterday afternoon! Well not to her satisfaction as she does over kill well, but I am happy about the do. She lectured the whole time, blah, blah, blah and I just went along purging things I did not need. IT was lovely and only took us one hour or two with the both of us and now I have a nice clean shop to start my day!
It is going to be a day too! I have to pick up the kids, so I have until 2:15 to get things done and I have a lot of sewing to get done before Friday. Had a lot of things come in yesterday afternoon, while we were tearing through the shop.
We are getting closer to finishing the garden area. Still sweeping sand into the bricks and that is an ongoing job. Dan came yesterday to clean and sweep the area a little. I am getting excited to plant!
I often go through the I can't do this anymore phase. Sometimes weekly, and often daily. Having a clean and organized workspace helps. It doesn't do the work, but the distractions are less.
I woke with a bad headache this morning and it still is not gone so I guess I will go take something for it, no excuses I have to get things done today. I can do this, I know I can.
Have you ever met anyone who has to talk themselves into doing anything? If Sissie was here she would kick my A$$.
So here is the list my friends, (you knew this was coming right?)
1. take waist in on four pairs of pants
2. hem a dress
3. hem two pairs of pants
4.hem a set of karate clothes
5. put ribbon on two sets of regalia (Native American)
6. hem a pair of pants and tack a mother of the bride dress
7.hem a prom dress for this weekend
That is enough, as I have to go pick up the munchkins. Tomorrow, I have a wedding dress and other delights!
Kim's life is not boring, it is often a little sad, but also filled with uncontrolled laughter and joy.
Have a great and productive day
God is good
Kim
More than I could do or even want to do!
ReplyDeleteWell it did not get it all done, but a good start
DeleteWell done as I had to stop sewing early today due to a problem with my machine. Hope to get that straightened out tomorrow so as to finish. You get way more done in a day than I do.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Machine problems are the worst, they just take it out of you!
DeleteYou're a good team. But, and I think Kay recognizes this, you're still ultimately a team of one. Getting motivated is tough for me. I some days want to accept the stupid offers to have a company but my home and I can run away. Nope, not giving up and you're my motivation.
ReplyDeleteOh Sam you have no idea how I want to go screaming through the woods on a daily basis!
DeleteKim, you do so much. Be kind to yourself when you hit an "I can't do this anymore" wall. We all do.
ReplyDeleteWell, I certainly didn't finish my list.
DeleteI think we all need Sissie in our lives. 😀 it’s so great to have a clean shop to work in, kudos to both of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Belinda
DeleteA clean and organized work space does make the actual work much easier. I'm confident you'll get everything done.
ReplyDeleteWell I did not but then again I had to pick up the kids and that was 2.5 hours of constant drama. Also had book club last night!
DeleteA clean place does make life easier to manage.
ReplyDeleteI would be afraid for Sissy Kay to come to my house as a task master though.
Yes Anne, be afraid, be very afraid! Kay
DeleteShe is a horror but worth it let me tell you! She would sit your butt on a bed and start rampaging through things faster than a speeding bullet!
