Wednesday,Hub's is home

Hub's came in about 8 last night and although I love it when he is gone it was nice to see him.  I slept better last night as I did not have to check every door and window for boogie men entrances.  I am happy to say the back porch is cleaned up and I just put hubs on front room duty. HE will not do the thorough job I would but the queen is not visiting this week.  I think I might be getting a sinus infection, drat!  I have not had one for over a year, but I will just have to wait and see.

Took a long walk (well long for pup) last night and it was lovely. I was able to get all the sewing done I wanted to get done yesterday.  Today it is bridesmaid dresses.  I think I have 5 of them plus two stacks of uniforms, one military and one police. So my day is set.

I doubt that I will get out and weed or lay bark today as every time I bend over my head explodes. I pulled two meals out of the freezer, bean soup and tamales.  I can add garden salad to these and I am grateful that I cook in batches. It saves time and money.

I washed all the pillows and the outdoor table cloth from the back porch and line dried them last night.  So I was able to put them out this morning. Everything looks so fresh and clean.

I also found a penny walking into good will last night.  I was looking for a button down blouse with avocado green in it, as I have a pair of shorts that color and all I can wear with them is white, which if you knew me is not a good option.  Sissie just called to say she bought me a sage green pair of crop pants.  I will check the other second hand stores as I have time.

Well I am off to get my work for the day done, so I can waste time later and maybe take a walk or do something fun.

What are you going to get down today?  Any plans? What are you not going to get done today.....:)

Have a great and productive day staying positive while you are int the negative.

Kim

  1. I cleaned house this morning, then shopped at Academy and Walmart- didn’t buy much but got in 6000 steps.
Hope you find 2 tops with green in them :)

    1. Good for you, shopping and cleaning house are great ways to get exercise. I will keep looking.

  2. I am not getting the house dusted, windows shined, bathrooms swished and swiped nor floors swept and mopped.... I did clear off clutter off kitchen counter, bfast counter and both tables, dealt with dehydrating basil, onion chives and garlic chives, updated, scanned and defrag both of my computers. Put the last of the dry goods away in the pantry that was sitting at the top of the basement stairs by the frig.Did a load of laundry but it's rained off and on so it's either on the drying rack or hanging on hangers in the showers. 4 pm and it's storming so going to go read.

    1. Sometimes it is just fun to do chores and things you want instead of what you think really needs to be done.

  3. I never sleep well when Hubby is away. I'm used to his snoring and without it I am wide awake. My own private sound machine.

    1. I am a light sleeper and hubs snores so we often sleep in separate rooms, but I like the comfort of knowing he is there. He is like my watch dog. Although as deaf as he is, I would be awake first.

  4. I have not had anyone in the house for almost 40 years. I am no longer the least bit frightened. Someone in the house would annoy me to no end! Yes, I would like a husband, but snoring would drive me nuts. Today, I tried to recover from yesterday's long trip to the doctor.

  5. I did not find a penny today. The week is half over, and I'm at ZERO cents! I made spaghetti for supper, but I don't like it, so made tuna salad for myself.

    1. I am up one cent, you don't like spaghetti or you don't like the spaghetti you made? I need to know in case I invite you for dinner.

    1. I actually feel okay just that nagging feeling of infection in the back of my throat. So hoping it does not come to fruition.

  7. I've been very happily on my own since my husband left me 10 years ago and both kids are married. I can't say it bothers me much but I do have shutters on all my windows which I close at night and keep a baseball bat in my bedroom (plus having excellent neighbours helps). But there must be something in the water where you live because I reckon you get 36 hours out of every day (or maybe you are stealing 12 of mine) because I could never get through everything you do in one day!
