Saturday, DO not answer the phone....

Deep breath.  The realtor just called and asked if we could be out on Monday rather than Tuesday when I have booked the moving van.  So we are now scrambling to figure things out.

I could be a witch and say no, but the people buying our house with three small children are being forced out of their place by a lawyer.  This is what happens when you sell to a wealthy person sight unseen through a lawyer there is no human contact making things much more difficult.

The piano mover will be here in an hour and I am going to go and talk to the people we are buying our house from and see when we can possible start moving things into their/our place.  What a nightmare.  We at least have a place to go.  I guess all I can do is talk to them and see what they need/want.

I have a little hand work left to do on a wedding dress that will be picked up today, and I was up really early today just from nerves.

Will report more tomorrow on this moving debacle.

  1. Kim it I ok to say NO sometimes! I learned this line from a friend of mine a long time ago "I know I probably should but right now I just have to say no"

    1. I do have a hard time saying no and really this situation is not up to me but to the people we are buying from, so other than just frustration.....

  2. Kim,
My ex fed me a sob story from the woman who moved into our house. She had to be out by a certain date and could i please get out so she could move in. I ruined our new floor by moving things onto the kitchen floor too soon and everything was chaos. Then, I went back to the old house after the date she had to be out of her apartment AND, she was shampooing carpets--no furniture moved. I know husband lied to me. I moved early to be a nice person. Don't do it. Remember, you are screwing up things for mover and people you want to let you move into the house early.

    Lesson learned.

    1. This is to say that people will push you as far as you allow them to push you.

  3. Sometimes NO is just fine to say. That is crazy to expect so much from someone. If the are wealthy, they could find a place to stay for a night or two. Just saying.
    Don't push yourself too far.

    1. You are so right and we can only go as far as the sellers of our house allow, so this decision is really not on me.... thank goodness.

    1. Well it is a semi no. We can only do what we can do.

  5. Do not do this. If they are using a POD, they can just park it somewhere. In our last move, we thought we might be cutting in close, so we were just going to leave our stuff in the U-Haul truck overnight. Those people will figure it out. Ended up we did not have to. What they need to do is just tell their buyers that it is impossible for them to do this. What are they going to do? Cancel the sale? Doubt it.

  7. You don't need my opinion but it echoes the others. You are not obligated to change your timeline-it creates a ripple effect of change.

  8. I would say no, its an unreasonable request and you have booked your moving van. They can stay in a motel for a night - its not your problem to solve.

  9. I do hope you said no. 48 hours notice over a weekend is inconsiderate. You deserve the time for which you planned and made reservations accordingly.

  10. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
