Tuesday,back in the saddle

Well I sewed like a demon yesterday and must do so again today.  The shop was very  busy yesterday so I made no headway as far as getting things out.  I am blessed with work. I did lay down and take a nap from 5-6 before I went to the studio as I was very tired.

It is so nice not to have to clean the bank after dance.  I thought about that last night and think about it often.  Even thought giving up the money was scary, I was able to be more productive in other places. I sew at night sometimes, I do some house work.  Or I just relax and it is nice to not always have something hanging over you.

I was able to pull another Sluggy last night.  I went to Rite-aid and purchased 3 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk, and two large bottles of my favorite shampoo and rinse, for $1.31.  Okay not as good as the Queen Sluggy, but getting closer.  I also earned $3.00 more dollars in up rewards.  So I am sold on the concept.

Then I went to Albertsons and with additional cereal coupons I purchased their buy 3 cereals get a large box of pop tarts free.  The cereals were marked down to 2.49 but I had a .50, 2 x75 and a 1.00 for 3, so cereal was about 4.00 and I received the large box of Pop tarts, which we don't eat, but great for dance studio starvation.

I have a new job.  Every day the old man who lives down the street drives his clunker up into the driveway(it sounds like a tank) and brings me a dress shirt to iron.  His wife is now in a rest home and he eats dinner with her every day and likes to go looking nice.  So I press his shirt and we gossip and off he shuffles.  They are in their early 90's it is so cute.  Yesterday he had on a pink hat, very styling.

The men ate leftovers yesterday so I have know idea what the kitchen looks like, I had better venture forth and see.  I also need to figure out what to do for dinner as I am sure the spaghetti is all gone.  Stew maybe?  Judy needs a workout....

Out my window:  Beautiful  Fall days, I love it.

Have a great and productive day!

Kim

  1. You are doing great on your Rite-Aid shopping. We have one in our town but it is on the other side of town and I never go in that direction so I don't think about it. Maybe I should....

Hope you have a great day! :)
