I just realized I have no:

mom needs pads(don'task)
I have to get her another night gown, maybe two?( I just have to wash the one she is in, she can't lie naked)
Now my sisters are e-mailing telling me how to handle this, but yet again, are they here? No. Have they called? No. But they e-mail advice. This insures that they don't have to talk to me or mother.

You know, we all need those moments or days. Yes, eventually we have to pull our boot straps up, but dang it - it gets overwhelming at times!
ReplyDeleteHang in there sweetie - I know how you are feeling and there are no easy answers. You are an amazing woman.
Sending you hugs. It is so hard to stay positive when you are carrying the whole load. Pretty sure I'd ignore the emails and put it on them to call if they want to know how things are going. You are such an inspiration to me - hang in there!

PS Your signature made me laugh out loud!
Holy moly, Kim. That's a lot to deal with. I would be a bit P****ed off too...
ReplyDeleteHopefully your Mom will get better soon, and this part of your life will be a distant memory...make sure to spend some time on yourself...you will be no good to anyone if you get sick too!
Sending postive thoughts your way....
((Hugs)). I'm saying a prayer that God grants you a bit of peace today as you deal with not only your Mother but also your sisters. It is okay to ask for help. Just because your mother is physcially in your care does not mean that you alone should pay for her expenses.
ReplyDeleteoh how frustrating! especially with useless siblings to boot! I hope you have a better day today, you can only do so much so go easy on yourself
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, Kim. It's hard to handle such a situation, but I know that you will handle it with graciousness and love. Your mom is lucky to have you because I'm sure this is hard on her too. I hope that your sisters will pitch in, but even if they don't, you will have the peace of knowing that you did your best.
ReplyDelete((HUGS)) Ahhh... dear Witchy Poo! I feel your pain. I'm there myself some days!
ReplyDeleteI would be majorly ticked off too! Sometimes you have to tell others (your sisters) what exactly they need to do with no options. If they think you are handling all okay, they will just continue to let you. Speak up, tell them what you need, ( extra help ( Nurses aide), money,) at least they can't say you did not ask them or tell them.
ReplyDeleteAnd continue to vent here... it does help.
sending you happy thoughts..and vent away at us...its what we are here for
