I went through the infusion with flying colors! Really nice nurses, no mining for veins. No bruises. I really tried hard to drink a lot of water Thursday and I got up two hours early and drank 3 big bottles of water before we got to the hospital. So great hydration means good veins. I am a little dizzy but that is all. I just pray that it works. I was able to inject my first treatment this morning, again no pain and so far no sickness but these drugs seem to have a cumulative affect and the longer you take them the worse they get, but so far so good.
I have three costumes to make by Monday and I haven't even cut them out. Just no motivation. But I will have to soon. Isn't Monday in like 2 days? Yes I beleive it is. But I am very tired and sleepy.
Kim
Oh Kim! Glad it's going well for you so far, and hoping the side effects stay away!
ReplyDeleteI'll be joining you in costume pergatory. DD10's first competition of the season is next weekend....and I have 4 costumes to finish up before dress rehearsal on Wednesday. And of course there are hairpieces, gloves, ruffles, fabric to recover some brass buttons, and a pair of pedinis that I don't even have in my possession yet. Someone should just lock me in the craft room for the next week!!!! But, then I wouldn't go to work...and how could I pay the bills????
I'm glad things went well for you. I always think you are soooo motivated--you get so much stuff done and treatment on top of that?? Wow!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear you are doing well so far! Hopefully it will all be good news from here on forth! Hope you can get some good rest and not feel tired.
ReplyDeleteThank God!!!!! I hope(and am praying) that everything goes well!
ReplyDeleteTake care of YOU first. The rest will get done.
ReplyDeleteInfusion? Sounds like a cup of tea! Don't mind if I do! I think I've had too many cold meds, I don't think I sound quite sane.
ReplyDeleteI'm sooooooo glad things went smoothly for you and they didn't have to go mining for a vein! My veins are tiny too but kazi's are almost non-existent. We've gone through many a horrendous time with nurses digging around in her arm or hand for an IV. Poor little mite.
Keeping my fingers crossed for NO PAIN!! AND I think that you could let people know you've had a medical procedure and need another day or two to get the sewing done - sheesh - you're not Wonder Woman you know! (well, most of the time you ARE, but give yourself a break this time ok?)
so glad that it went well for you Kim, hope you are able to get a bit of rest as well
